Sunfloweroven

This project was carried out as part of my studies at Shenkar in a course called "Design in Context", which was carried out in cooperation with the agricultural farm in Lod. During the course we worked with a group of 5 students and were asked to create a product that could serve the students of the farm and at the same time bring with it added value. This oven is a permanent oven in the ground with rotation capability that allows students to direct the oven towards the sun. The purpose of the oven is to become a learning tool and to be used to create foods from components that they will prepare on the farm such as vegetables, fruits, etc. The oven itself is made of painted iron, made by weaving and welding. In the upper part there is a thick glass glass sealed with rain and there is a door on the side of the oven through which to put the pot. The shape of the oven produces angles that we studied as a group that allow the sun rays to hit the walls and then the serving dish and the heat eventually leads to the cooking of the dish. With appetite!
